It was an amazing place with 17 wolves and a number of different types of foxes and coyotes. We did a $10 hour long tour and it was awesome. Or as Sam said "That was the best $10 I have ever spent!"
Each wolf was named and had a unique story of how it came to be in the park. None of them were taken from the wild, they were mainly rescued from fur farms, backyard breeders and photo farms.
There was a little ten week old wolf puppy that we were able to meet and pat. He was adorable and incredibly friendly.
The older wolves were in enclosures that were about a 1/4 of an acre big, with two wolves in each enclosure, an alpha male and an alpha female.
At the end of the tour the guide howled and was able to make all of the wolves howl back at us. We watched as they howled to us and each other for almost five minutes! It was absolutely amazing! Slightly eery, but awesome!

Thanks Georgia, for taking Sam to the Wolf Wildlife Park!He has always loved wolves! I have a collection of his hand drawn wolf pictures and wolf facts books that he hand made when he was little.
ReplyDeleteI hope you get to see some more wolves when you visit other parts of the world.
